I think following some structure for development is helpful. This is not to stay that I stick to some sort of strict software lifecycle. I think following the steps below make webdesign less painful. But I'm easy really..

• 1. Tell me what you are looking for. What you want included.
• 2. I'll mock up something quick to let you see how our ideas might look.
• 3. If you like what you see I'll let you know how much it'll cost (if anything).
• 4. Once we agree what we like the look of I build it up.
• 5. To avoid feature creep I will revise this design again only once to make final.
